Global and International Studies. A Lifelong Learning Degree. University of Salamanca

In the very near future more than half of new jobs in the US will be connected to the global economy. In the EU, emerging jobs opportunities are increasingly attached to international markets and political alliances. In developing regions, most new jobs will be linked to foreign investment, global commerce, international negotiation, the environment, and multinational corporations. Worldwide, conflict resolution and security affect business, states, NGOs, and private citizens.

Our PROFESSIONAL master degree provides the necessary skills and abilities to successfully compete in these new job markets. Our Master Program is taught fully in English by a diverse international team of scholars and practitioners from Europe, the United States, and Latin America.

What does A Lifelong Learning Degree mean?   It is the name that universities in the European Union are now going to adopt to refer to their own programs, that is, those PROFESSIONAL DEGREES that they themselves certify. This allows greater flexibility in terms of incorporating international students and faculty. For more information, you may want to check out the link to the European Consortium (https://ec2u.eu/).

Our Master’s in Global and International Studies offers Four Different Tracks of specialization: 1) Nationalism and Conflict Management, 2) Migration, Environment and Climate Change, 3) Global Business and Negotiation, and 4) Global Security and Intelligence.

Ranging from the general to the more specific and specialist, it covers relevant global security and intelligence institutions and the contemporary challenges that are confronted during an overall era of globalised strategic risk, including examining, inter alia, counter-terrorism after 11 September 2001 (9/11) and Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) non-/counter-proliferation in Iraq and beyond, extending to providing several lessons into the professional conduct of intelligence analysis and assessment work in the contemporary 21st Century.
